Supportation!

Unspoken as a band completely supports the campaigns: great bear, tar sands, boreal forest and campaigns to do with oil spills that are produced by GREENPEACE

Before part of the band, Silver Strand absolutely LOVED the ocean. She grew up to support anything to help it. When she was 9, she wrote presentations on the ocean and environment and presented them to a body of roughly 40 children. The presentations were about sharks, whales, the great bear rainforest and boreal forest logging.

After about a year, Pezz joined Silver Strand and together they wrote presentations (which they continue to do).

At school, Silver Strand was chosen to give a speech on earth day, haitian problems, heroes and so on, out of her whole school.

In 2009, Pezz, silver strand and mickey joined together to form a part of the eco club at school. They were invited to ceremonies and galas.

Avalon, became great friends with the trio that same year and shared the passion of the ocean with silver strand. Avalon loved helping blue whales and sea turtles, where silver strand loved sharks, saltwater crocodiles, orca whales and beluga whales.

During lunch hour, the now 4 girls, talked to the class about how major their impact was on our planet and got some kids to join them with their talks.

On afternoon, silver strand came to school extremely excited and telling the class about her discovery of Greenpeace. She said that her dad was part of one of the initial protests in Greenpeace. Her teachers Mrs. Westman, mrs. Clarke and mlle. Cyr helped pursue with the love of the ocean. Mrs. Westman was a part of the Greenpeace organization, mrs. Clarke was the leader of the eco club, and mlle. cyr helped with presentations.

To this day, Pezz and silver strand are eco representatives for their class, and Mickey is a large part of the eco club body.

So please, visit the greenpeace website, and read the following speech from the band:

The ocean is crying. As mj put it 'this crying earth has weeping shores'. Nothing better to be said. If anyone ever knew the horridness that is underway on our coasts, there would be millions of weeps.

Ever heard of shark finning? of coarse not, and undoubtably you won't hear it from anyone else but me. Humains physically harpoon the poor animals and rip the fins of of them. Then they are thrown back into the ocean to die, bleed to death.

I know, that sharks aren't cuddly or cute, but they are BEAUTIFUL. I have swum with them bare, with no protection, but, a swimsuit. They don't kill you, rip you apart. That's jaws, not life. I swear one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen was one of a shark. I mean how do you stress this kind of thing? Here's something that should come close:

The ocean covers 2 3rds of the planet. We can't survive without it's water. Sharks rule the ocean. They control it, keep it from over population and eventually end. You wan't to distroy that?

Of coarse, you're still scared of them. But here's a little something. Let's say that sharks are a tribe of humains that live on an island. Let's say that we go explore there. They see us. They are scared. They have been told their whole life to stay away from us. They hide. We find one young boy, and we follow him. One of the elders use a spear and shoots the man following their child. He doesn't want us to kill him.

That's the actions of the shark. Don't you get it? They're scared. They don't like us. We KILL them about 7.5 THOUSAND of them a day. They kill 13 of us a year.

Still not convinced? of coarse not. We're just humains! What can we do? I'll tell you what, enough to kill the most beautiful thing given to us by god (or whatever you believe in). The ocean.
